The reservation of vacancies for OBC, SC and ST is as per rules. The numbers of vacancies indicated above against each SIB are provisional and liable to change.  The posts are temporary but likely to continue indefinitely.

Pay Scale:  Rs. 5200-20200/- and Grade pay Rs. 2000/- plus allowances at Central Govt. rates.

Age:  Not exceeding 27 years as on closing date of application. However, upper age limit is relaxable by five years for SC/ST candidates and three years for OBC candidates. It is also relaxable for departmental candidates up to 40 years who have rendered three years of continuous service. The upper age limit is also relaxable to certain other categories of candidates in terms of Government of India instructions issued from time to time.

Eligibility Conditions:

(A)    Essential: (i)  Matriculation(Class X) or equivalent from a recognized Board.

(ii) Knowledge of local language/dialect as stipulated above against each SIBx.

(B)   Desirable: Field Experience in intelligence work.
